This cottage has 3 bedrooms with a queen size bed,
2 doubles and 2 single beds to sleep eight. There are 2 bedrooms in the upper level and one has a walkout to a private balcony. In addition there is a bathroom on the main level with claw tub and shower as well as a vanity and commode for your convenience. |

The cottage sits on a rise about 25 steps to the lake level of the property. The cottage has a full width deck out front with Plexiglas panels for an unobstructed view of the lower level of the property. The deck includes comfortable seating and a gas barbeque for the Family Chef. On the lower level of the property there is a delightful fire pit area with comfortable chairs and benches for those popular evening marshmallow roasts. Then it is onto the shoreline where there is an extensive dock with yet more sitting area and yes the shoreline is child safe with a gradual entry and a sandy bottom. There is also excellent swimming of the deep water dock with a ladder for easy exit from the water. This cottage also comes with a canoe, paddleboat and 2 kayaks for your on water pleasure. Bitter Lake is about 15 minutes from West Guilford where there is a good size country food store, a restaurant, service station and gift shop. If you are looking for more substantial shopping, the Village of Haliburton is a 10 minute drive from West Guilford where there are quaint shops, large food stores, pharmacies, restaurants, live entertainment, LCBO, beer store, theatre, banking and health care if needed at the Haliburton Hospital. There are also several fine golf courses in the area and don't forget your fishing gear because there are lake trout and bass in Bitter Lake.
