The Main Cottage

The main cottage living room includes a sofa, love seat, a couple of chairs, a stone fireplace and a simply great view of Boshkung Lake. |

The spacious kitchen comes with a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, and the ever popular dishwasher as well as a washer / dryer elsewhere in the cottage. Right beside the kitchen there is a large dining area with a table to seat eight people in comfort and if needed there are an additional 5 stools at the side bar counter in the kitchen. |

Next to the dining area there is a comfortable sitting area which can serve multiple purposes but we like to think that this would be an ideal place for an after dinner drink as you look out over beautiful Boshkung Lake. |

| The spacious Master bedroom has a queen size bed, entertainment centre, an en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and shower and there is a walkout to the deck which overlooks Boshkung Lake. |

There are 3 additional beautifully furnished bedrooms in the main cottage with another queen size and two doubles to sleep six in comfort. |

The main cottage has a spacious rec room with a number of toys for your enjoyment including several sofas for lounging, a picnic table in front of the stone fireplace, a stationary exercise bike, a foosball game, a chess set, a TV / VCR / DVD with satellite and even a commercial size fridge to keep your drinks cool. |

Also on this lower level there is a furnished, carpeted, screened in porch for your lounging pleasure. This holiday destination just gets better and better. |

Outside
|
It really doesn't matter if you are following the sun or looking for a little shade because there is a furnished deck both at the front and the rear of the cottage with comfortable seating and a propane barbeque for the executive chef of the family. There is a distinct flat grassed in area both at the front and rear of the cottage which is perfect for those popular lawn games. To the sides of the cottage there is a gradual slope leading to these grassed in flat areas. On the lake side of the main cottage there is a fire pit for those evening marshmallow roasts and beyond this there is your shoreline with gradual entry beach and sandy bottom for your swimming pleasure. In addition there is an extensive dock where you will find your canoe and kayak for your on water pleasure. At the base of the dock there is a flagstone patio with table and several chairs which is a perfect venue for watching the kids play in the water at the beach beside the dock. This cottage and guest house is near the Village of Carnarvon at the intersection of Hwy 35 and Hwy 118 making for easy access to these cottages. It is only another 15 to 20 minute drive to the villages of Minden and Haliburton where there are many quaint shops, restaurants, service stations, banking, pharmacies, beer stores, LCBO, live entertainment, theatre, hospitals and clinics if needed. If golf is your passion, there are several fine golf courses in the Highlands to test your skill. And don't forget your fishing gear because there are bass, trout and whitefish in Boshkung just waiting for you to arrive. Boshkung Lake is one of the larger lakes in the Highlands but only one of 600 lakes in all of Haliburton County. |

The Guest House |

| The guest house is certainly more rustic than the main cottage but fully equipped and self contained all the same and ready for the kids, grand parents or guests who may visit during your vacation. |

There are 3 bedrooms in the guest house with a queen size bed, a double and a set of single bunks. In addition there is a 3 piece bathroom with a stand up shower for your convenience. |
Outside |
There is a very nice furnished, wrap around deck on the guest house with a wrought iron table and chairs and several loungers for your use as well as a propane barbeque in case you don't fancy the menu at the main cottage. The gardens around the deck are quite exceptional and there is groomed grass in front of the cottage and then an expanse of natural wild flowers to the lake. In the middle of the wild flowers there is a fire pit for your evening enjoyment. This cottage shares the use of the dock, beach and watercraft at the main cottage but you can swim at your own gradual entry shoreline if you wish.
