This cottage is situated on Lake Kashagawigamog which is part of a 5 lake chain with Head Lake, Grass Lake, Soyers and Canning which run between Haliburton Village and Minden. Haliburton Village is only 10 minutes away which makes this cottage ideal for mature students attending the Haliburton School of Art. As you exit the cottage there is a full width deck with 2 tables with umbrellas and chairs as well as a propane barbeque for Chef Toasty. There is a fire pit close to the cottage for those popular evening marshmallow roasts. Next it is down to the lake along a well constructed flight of stairs. At the water front there is a large shore deck with several loungers for the tanning set as well as yet another picnic table. There is a gradual entry shoreline with a sandy bottom with a set of stairs from the shore deck onto the beach which appears as the summer progresses. Even when the water is up, there is only less than a foot of water so the shoreline is relatively safe for young ones. There is a canoe, rowboat and paddleboat for your on water pleasure and there is also a swim platform off shore for that perfect tan which is shared with another one of our rental units next door. If you need supplies, the Village of Haliburton is only a 10 minute drive where there are quaint shops, restaurants, large food stores, LCBO, beer store, pharmacies, service stations, health clinic and our local hospital if needed.
