Outside
|
Outside is rather special with a good size deck with a table, umbrella, comfortable lounge chairs, a propane barbeque, an outdoor dart board and one of the great views in the Haliburton Highlands. As you make your way down a well constructed set of stairs and steps, you will come to your own theatre style fire pit which will surely be well used in the evenings for those popular marshmallow roasts and sing-a-longs. Just beyond the fire pit is where you will find your dock with swim ladder and a canoe. Off to one side of the dock there is a spacious shore deck and all this is topped off by a swim platform moored off shore. Needless to say, it doesn't matter if you are on the deck at the cottage or on the shore deck at the water's edge, the views of Kennisis Lake and the islands in the distance are breathtaking. If you are into boating and plan to bring your own boat, by all means do so as there is a marina on Kennisis for all your boating needs and Kennisis is a rather large lake and part of a 2 lake chain with Little Kennisis Lake so there is plenty of water to explore. The Haliburton Forest is close to the cottage and there is always something going on such as the "Walk In The Clouds" or a visit to the Wolf Centre on feeding day. The nearest village is West Guilford which has a good country store but if you are looking for more substantial shopping, the Village of Haliburton is an easy half hour drive from the cottage. Considering that this is a late season listing, pick up the phone and call one of our Vacation Planners to rent this exciting property. Call 705-457-9434 in the Haliburton Highlands, natures piece of Art. |
