As you exit the cottage, there is a beautiful large, furnished, wrap around deck which has a table, umbrella and 8 chairs for your lounging pleasure as well as a propane barbeque for the Chef de Jour. The view from the deck is truly amazing so make sure the Chef is concentrating on the job at hand. The shoreline is down a well constructed staircase and when you arrive, a whole new world is available including a fire pit which is second to none and a large dock with a ladder for easy entrance and exit from the dock. In addition there is a canoe and kayak for your on water pleasure and be sure the be on the water at different times of the day as Kennisis Lake is ever changing with the weather and the angle of the sun. Kennisis Lake is part of a two lake chain with Little Kennisis and there is a marina on the lake for all your boating needs. This cottage is also within about 10 minutes of the Haliburton Forest where there is always something going on including the Wolf Compound and The Walk In The Clouds. There is also a convenience store and restaurant in the Forest for your dining pleasure. The nearest Village is West Guilford where there is a dandy market for supplies, beer and wine. If you are looking for more substantial shopping, the Village of Haliburton is only 10 minutes away where there are large food stores, restaurants, pharmacies, live entertainment, theatre, quaint shops, hardware and health care at the Haliburton Hospital if needed.
