And let's not forget the Chef of the Day. A beautiful spacious kitchen awaits with all the gadgets and appliances to make meal preparation a fun time. To add to the fun, there are 4 stools poised for the audience at the large island or you can use this space as the perfect spot to set up the dinner buffet. There is even a convenient exit out to the deck from the kitchen where the propane BBQ awaits. |

As you exit the cottage onto the expansive new deck you will savor the sound of silence on what seems like your own private Bay. This naturally landscaped property is gently sloping down to the water so guests of all ages will have no problem. A small beach with gradual entry and a sandy bottom await along with deep water swimming off the dock. A medium size dock completes the package with a ladder to assist with exiting the water. Seeing that this is a part of Kennisis Lake means that you are on a 2 lake chain with Little Kennisis and that there is a marina for all your boating needs. A major attraction in this area is the Haliburton Forest where there is always much to do and see including the Wolf Compound and the popular Walk In The Clouds. The nearest town is West Guilford about 20 minutes away where there is a dandy country store. If you are looking for more substantial shopping, the Village of Haliburton is only another 10 minute drive from West Guilford. In the village there are large food stores, quaint shops, service stations, restaurants, pharmacies, live entertainment and so much more. If golf is your passion, there are several courses within the Highlands to test your skill and there are plenty of trails to walk and bike in the county. Also, don't forget to stop at Kawartha Dairy in Minden on your way to or from this cottage for the best ice cream selection around.
