This cottage is on a quiet bay on a gently sloping piece of property on Long Lake which is part of a 2 lake chain with Miskwabi Lake and only a 10 minute drive to the Village of Haliburton. This makes this cottage ideal for mature students attending the Haliburton School of Art. As you exit the cottage there is a good size deck with a clear view of the bay and furnished with a table, chairs and of course a propane barbeque for the family Executive Chef who is a culinary specialist in the fine art of gourmet dogs and burgers. Down by the shore there is a fire pit which the kids will surely enjoy during the evening marshmallow roast. Yes, there is a good size dock where you will find your canoe and paddleboat. You can relax on the furnished dock with a few chairs and umbrella if the sun starts to turn up the heat. Don't forget your fishing gear because Long Lake is a decent bass and trout lake. We encourage catch and release but we won't blame you if you take a fish back to the dog and burger specialist to see what he can do with something other than you know what. If you are in need of some Rolaides after the fish we suggest you head for the Village of Haliburton where there are pharmacies, large food stores, restaurants, quaint shops, live entertainment, service stations, sporting goods and everything else you may have forgotten to bring from the city. If Golf is your passion, there are some fine courses in the Highlands to test your skill or you can call Bill, the owner of WRD who is also a frustrated driver of the little white ball. So if all of this sounds rather interesting, give WRD a call @ 705-457-9434 and talk to one of our Vacation Planners who will be happy to answer any questions you may have. We are open 7 days a week and we await your call and look forward to seeing you in the Haliburton Highlands this coming summer. |
