Family Room - This is another one of those older cottages with recent additions. Consequently,
there is a parlor or living room in the older section and then there is this delightful, what I would call a family room with wood burning stove, comfortable sofa and chairs as well as a large screen High Definition television with VCR, DVD and satellite dish. |

Kitchen -
What a great country kitchen with lots of cupboards and food prep area and fully equipped with a radiant heat stove, convection oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, blender, coffee maker and the ever popular dishwasher. Elsewhere in the cottage there is a washer / dryer for all your laundry needs. |

Parlor / Dining Area -
This is the original parlor or living room area
which has been converted to a formal air conditioned dining area with a large harvest table which extends to seat eight people in comfort in front of the original stone fireplace. And once the meal is over there is plenty of seating to enjoy an after meal aperitif. How cool is that? |

Master Bedroom and Sunroom - The air conditioned master bedroom is just that, masterful, with a king size bed,
antique bureaus, a mirrored wall and a separate sunroom which faces the property and lake beyond. This cozy room has a wicker sofa and chair, a lazy boy and yet another television with VCR, DVD and satellite dish. Can it get any better than this? |

Bedrooms - In the upper level of this fine cottage there are 3 additional bedrooms
to sleep six more people in comfort in 4 double beds and there is a crib for a wee one if needed. |

And look as some of the furnishings, a propane stove, an old telephone switch board (one ringy dingy, two ringy dingy), a functional telephone booth and much more. |

Outside

We apologize for the lack of outside pictures but rest assured this is a property which will serve you well as it has the owners and their grand children. This property is perfect for older folks or those with some kind of physical limitation because it is absolutely flat and well padded with expansive lawns. There are some very impressive organic gardens including vegetables, herbs and flowers which are available to the renters. There are plenty of chairs for your lounging pleasure and a propane barbeque for Chef Willing and Able. There is a child safe shoreline with a gradual entry over good sand. In addition there is a good size dock and a canoe for your on water enjoyment. And as the sun goes down and the day comes to an end there is a fire pit for those evening singalongs and marshmallow roasts. This cottage is situated at the southern end of the Haliburton Highlands and within a short 5 minute drive of the town of Norland where there are restaurants, gas stations, food store, convenience store etc., etc. And if you need your excitement fix for the week, Casino Rama is about a 40 minute drive from this cottage.
