Needless to say, when renting a cottage the outside is as important as the inside if not more so and this cottage will not disappoint from this perspective. As you exit the cottage there is a large wrap around deck with a very nice free standing gazebo for your lounging comfort during the heat of the day. There is a table and 8 chairs and a separate barbeque deck for Chef Mountain Man. When the spirit moves you there is a badminton / volleyball court and a row boat and paddleboat for your on water pleasure. In addition there is a shore deck and an extensive dock where there is plenty of room to sit and watch the activities on the waters of Mountain Lake.
Don't forget your fishing gear because there are bass, trout and whitefish below the shimmering surface of Mountain Lake. If you wish to rent a more substantial watercraft during your vacation, there is a marina on 12 Mile Lake for all your boating needs. With a north to north/west exposure, get ready for one of those spectacular northern sunsets while you have a marshmallow roast in a very nice fire pit on the property. Mountain Lake and this cottage in particular, is easily accessible from Hwy 35 which is the major north / south corridor through the Haliburton Highlands but far enough away from this cottage to be unseen and unheard.
This cottage is only 5 minutes from Minden where there are major food stores, quaint shops, good restaurants, LCBO, beer store, service stations, pharmacies, banking and health care at the Minden Hospital if needed.
