I think that Portage Lake could in fact be very close to the vision in your mind's eye of what a northern mountain lake is all about. It really doesn't get much better than this and we know that nothing but good memories will come from a vacation on Portage Lake. |

The living room includes a sofa, a couple of chairs, a television with DVD and Satellite Dish.

The kitchen is very efficient and functional with a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. just off the kitchen there is a good size dining table with comfortable seating for six. There is a washer / dryer elsewhere in the cottage. |

There are 2 bedrooms in the main cottage as well as a large bedroom in the bunkie. All bedrooms have double beds and there is a good 3 piece bathroom for your convenience. |

Outside

The decking, grounds and views surrounding this cottage are superb.
The deck includes ample seating, a table with umbrella as well as a propane
barbeque for the Chef de Second Best.
The shoreline is rocky but with a gradual entry and sandy bottom.
At the dock you will find 2 kayaks for your on water pleasure.
This is a
small lake limited to 9.5 HP boat motors and Seadoos are not permitted.
Portage is not a large lake
and the residents prefer
very small motors on the boats so that the silence is not interrupted.
The
fishing is pretty good so don't forget your fishing gear because the bass are
awaitn'.
In addition, this cottage is strategically located
within 15 minutes of
Haliburton
Village which makes
it ideal for students of the Haliburton School of Fine
Arts.
And while in the village, Haliburton has many fine shops. large food
stores,
pharmacies, restaurants, beer store, LCBO, live summer theatre as well
as medical
attention if needed at The Haliburton Hospital and clinic. And don't forget your golf
clubs
because there are several fine courses to test your skill. So what more can one
ask for, a
really
