This cottage with south east exposure is situated on Poverty Bay of Soyers Lake which is part of the famous 5 lake chain of Haliburton County which ensures that there is plenty of water to explore and fish while in this beautiful area of Central Ontario. This is a very picturesque lake and if you are planning to bring your own boat, there is plenty of dock space and there is a marina for all your boating needs within minutes of the cottage. In addition, this cottage is most appropriate for students attending the Haliburton School of Art. From the cottage, you are within 15 minutes of all campuses of this popular summer school for mature students.
As you exit the cottage, there is a good size furnished deck with many lounge chairs, a table with chairs and umbrella as well as a picnic table if needed. There is a slight incline to the shoreline where you will find a furnished shore deck, dock and a canoe and paddleboat for your on water pleasure. You will find your fire pit in the front yard for those popular evening marshmallow roasts which are so popular with the kids. The shoreline is rocky with a soft bottom so swimming is best off the dock for experienced swimmers. This cottage is situated about halfway between the villages of Minden and Haliburton where there are major food stores, quaint shops, restaurants, pharmacies, service stations, live entertainment, banking, theatres, and health care at health clinics and both villages have their own hospitals if needed. If golf is your passion, there are several challenging golf courses with minutes of the cottage. And don't forget your fishing gear because the 5 lake chain has lake trout, bass, muskie, whitefish and walleye for your angling pleasure.
