What a great time we had! The cottage and waterfront property were absolutely beautiful. The kids all loved the water in particular. We decided to leave our dogs at a kennel but I'm sure they would have enjoyed it as well! Trips to Haliburton and Bracebridge were also great. Overall, it was a relaxing and peaceful time for our family gathering.

Hi Fran,

Just wanted to send you a testimonial about our recent rental of Little Redstone Lake 8. 

We had a great vacation (Aug 13-20th)!  The cottage was actually better than advertised!  It had everything a renter would need and really felt like a home away from home. Kudos to the owners for supplying all kinds of movies, reading materials, board games, and Lego (came in handy on the one day that it rained).  We just wished we booked it for two weeks instead of one but there's always next summer for that.  The kids spent hour upon hour swimming in the lake and playing on the huge sandy beach. We also explored the lake via canoe just about everyday too.  We also saw lots of the local wildlife (deer, flying squirrels, various birds)...I think the cottage comes with it's own resident chipmunk...the little fella always seemed to show up on the deck at dinner time

 As first-time cottage renters we'd like to send along our thanks for making the rental process so smooth and efficient. We'll be recommending WRD Cottage Rental to all of our family, friends and work colleagues.

Well, we just returned from Little Kennisis 7 yesterday, and we had a fabulous week. Coming home to Toronto is such a deflating experience after being in Haliburton, and I’m quickly coming to the realization that one week simply isn’t enough! Although the temperatures were a wee bit cool for swimming, the clear, dry days made for terrific day trips and enjoyment of the impressive decks at the cottage. This was our fourth consecutive summer renting through your agency, and we agreed that this cottage’s owners really know how to prepare a property for renters! It was probably one of the best-equipped and organized cottages we’ve had the pleasure of visiting.

I just wanted to send a quick note to tell you how much we enjoyed our vacation at Little Restone Lake-Singa Beach. I think it was the best holiday I have ever had!! I thought it was great this year that we did not have to go to your office and pick up and drop off the keys.

We all had such a great time, that I have been given the job of booking this cottage for next year. When is the earliest that you begin accepting bookings for next summer? I have used your agency for two summers now, and am thoroughly impressed with the exceptional properties you offer. I always vacation with my sister and brother and their families, and we look for a different cottage each year for variety.

A very late, but no less sincere thanks you for our wonderful vacation last summer at Koshlong 1.We had a lovely peaceful week.  The cottage was as neat as a pin, very comfortable and had amazing views.  It was a wonderfully private location, and what we thought was going to be a long walk to the water was just a short trip down the hill. The whole process was much smoother than many of our trips down south, and we hope to rent with you again.

The kids thought it was a great adventure to live by candle-light, without any plumbing, etc... Dear Bill,

Just wanted to drop you a note re our two week holiday at The Homestead. It was truly wonderful as you said.

The house itself was well back from the road and screened by trees. Inside, it was a delight and plenty roomy for the two of us. Basically everything we needed was on the first floor (also cooler during our 2 week heat wave). Outside, the property was huge. We never saw our neighbours and rarely heard them. I was at first a little wary of swimming in a pond but once I got in it felt more like our private little lake.

We had deer come to feed in the meadow behind the house, plenty of hummingbirds, and of course an army of chipmunks. (We also had 2 night visitors—2 bats that came out of the bedroom rafters. Rob caught them and let them go outside but all in all I prefer the deer.)

We experienced no negatives about the place and, if it comes up for rental next summer, we would certainly love to return.

Another wonderful week in cottage country. Mountain Lake 3 was excellent - beyond belief! We could live there all year round! 
The chipmunks were like little people greeting us every morning. The weather was perfect - even the full day of rain on Friday. It is amazing how even the rain can be beautiful in a gorgeous location. 
This year, we went exploring all over the Halliburton Highlands..yes, we even got lost - but that was part of the fun! I just finished looking at the photo gallery on the cottage and I still can't believe we lived there for one week.
